$60,000,000 Winner-Take-All Poker Tournament

, 2005-12-19, by TwoGun

Submitted by: Ozone

Six poker players will compete in a winner-take-all tournament this summer in Melbourne, Australia. Each of them will put up a $10M buy-in for the event, which is set to be aired on Fox Sports Net.

The only confirmed player thus far is poker superstar Phil Ivey. The producers of the event plan to announce a new participant once a month until the field of six has been disclosed.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on July 12th, but this date is subject to change. Not all six seats will be filled by world class pros. The organizers are hoping to have at least two players who qualified via online poker satellites.
