Note: This promotion has expired.
PokerTime has several WSOP packages. In addition to standard main event packages, they also hold qualifiers into other events, including a 7 stud event, a limit hold'em event, and a shorthanded NL hold'em event. Their most elaborate prize package awards players with a buy-in into multiple WSOP events and 60 nights hotel stay, making that package worth over $130k!
Main Event
PokerTime's main event package is worth $14,500 and includes a buy-in into the $10k NL hold'em Main Event, travel, accommodation, and $500 spending money. They hold a monthly satellite tournament to this event, with a buy-n of $725+$60. One package is awarded for every 20 entrants. These tournaments will be held at 4:30 EST (9:30 GMT) on the last Saturday of every month through June. Since the buy-in into this event is so steep, there are numerous satellites a player can enter to win an entry into this tournament.
Multi Event
PokerTime's premier WSOP package includes a buy-in for multiple WSOP events, 60 nights hotel accommodation, and $3500 spending money. This prize package is valued at over $130,000. Players can win this enormous package in PokerTime's Grand MTT Final tournament, which will be held May 20th at 4:30 pm EST (9:30 pm GMT).
The buy-in for this tournament is $1,100+$100, and one package will be awarded for every 150 entrants. Both sit-and-go and multi-table satellite tournaments are available for players to win an entry into this tournament.
PokerTime also will hold a tournament that awards this package on May 21st at 3pm EST (8 pm GMT). The entry into this tournament is $13,400+$600 and will award a package for one of every 10 entrants. It's not clear if PokerTime is holding satellites to this insanely high priced satellite tournament…or if anyone in their right mind will even enter this event.
While the multi event prize package certainly amazing, players should think twice before attempting to win this package. Not only is it incredibly difficult and expensive to win this prize, many of the WSOP event buy-ins this package awards may be for games many players barely know how to play. Based on the package's value, one must assume that the $50k H.O.R.S.E. tournament is included in the package. Most people barely know how to play some of the poker games included in H.O.R.S.E. (H.O.R.S.E. is a mixed game event which includes limit hold'em, seven card stud, seven stud hi-lo, Omaha hi-lo, and razz). Most entrants into this H.O.R.S.E. event are professionals that have been playing these games for years. An entry into this tournament is likely very, very –EV for anyone not proficient in all these games.
Other WSOP Events
In addition to the Main Event and Multi Event package, PokerTime is also holding satellites for Ladies Hold'em (Event #15), Shorthandend NL Hold'em (Event #21), Omaha Hi-Low Split (Event #24), Seven Card Stud (Event #28), and Limit Hold'em (Event #36). These prize packages range from $3800 to just under $8000. Most of the time, PokerTime has only one tournament that awards a package for each event. All of PokerTime's tournaments for these events will take place in June.
