2006 WSOP SATELLITE REVIEWS
Note: This promotion has expired.
Poker.com is running some unique cash satellites to the 2006 WSOP. Their WSOP package is valued at $12,500 and includes the $10,000 buy-in, a VIP gift bag, as well as $2,500 in spending money. This is not a very busy site, so expect rather small fields to show up for WSOP satellites.
Poker.com is holding $250+$25 multi-table tournaments that give away one WSOP package for every 50 entrants. There are a variety of ways to qualify for this $250+$25 tournament. With a set-up similar to Party Poker's "Steps" tournaments, Poker.com offers the chance for players to turn $1.10 into a WSOP buy-in.
The first of these four steps are $5.50 single-table tournaments or $1.10 multi-table tournaments. Winning one of these tournaments feeds into the second step, a $20+$2 buy-in single table tournament. The second step also features $8.80 multi-table tournaments. The target prize of a second step tournament is entry into an $80+$8 third step SNG tournament. From here, the top two finishers advance to the $250+$25 finale to compete for a WSOP package.
It should be noted that some of the prizes during these qualifier tournaments are just a second-chance entry into the same tournament, which means you will be paying the rake again.
