You are right the AI call was donkish but why would you take on the big stack with 88? Did you have a read on him as a maniac who would call anything?

He thought

'Short stack is pushing with anything - I have a 1 in 5 chance (at worst) of knocking him out. The other 2 are really short so if I win this I should get first'

or alternatively he clicked the wrong button.

He was 3to 1 chipleader and almost everytime raised me when I was in the big blind. That´s why I played that one quite agressive

Then I completely understand your AI call. I had the situation yesterday when the SB always raised AI when I was in BB and when I finally got a good hand (QQ) I called and he flopped over 72o. Needless to say that he made trips with his deuce

It isn't all that bad if he put you on a range of hands including Ax as he is easily gettting odds to call any non-paired hand.

Also, your hesitation in pushing probaby made him this that Ax was likely.

what kind of odds do you need to win 7 high vs possible a or K high ??

Holdem Hi: 1712304 enumerated boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
2c Ah 963331 56.26 740871 43.27 8102 0.47 0.565
7s 5d 740871 43.27 963331 56.26 8102 0.47 0.435

roughly 40% of your stack in a sng vs a possible Ace with 7 high ?

really would like to read something like: it s worth it because

i wont get this in YEARS ...

Umm, he was committed after his reraise , which was made to push you off marginal raising hands. Dont call someone a monkey just because they sucked out on you when they were pot committed.
